Fluorinated Lined Diaphragm Valve is a specialized type of shut-off valve that emerged in the 1920s. Its operating mechanism consists of a diaphragm made of flexible material, which separates the valve body cavity from the valve bonnet cavity and drive components, hence the name diaphragm valve.

Characteristics of Diaphragm Valves: The most prominent feature is that the diaphragm separates the lower valve body cavity from the upper valve cover cavity. This protects components above the diaphragm—such as the valve stem and disc—from media corrosion, eliminates the need for packing seals, and prevents media leakage.
1. Diaphragms made of soft sealing materials like rubber or plastic provide excellent sealing performance. As diaphragms are wear parts, they should be replaced periodically based on media characteristics.
2. Due to limitations in diaphragm materials, diaphragm valves are suitable for low-pressure applications and environments with relatively moderate temperatures.
3. Diaphragm valves can be classified by structure into six types: dome-type, straight-through, globe-type, straight-through, gate-type, and right-angle-type. The connection type is typically flanged. By drive method, they are categorized into manual, electric, and pneumatic types. Pneumatic drive further includes normally open, normally closed, and reciprocating variants.
4. Generally unsuitable for pipelines with temperatures exceeding 60°C, or those conveying organic solvents and strong oxidizing media. Also inadvisable for high-pressure pipelines.
Diaphragm valves are used to open or shut off fluid flow in systems operating at pressures ranging from 1.3×10?? to 2.5×10? Pa.
Principle of fluorine-lined diaphragm valves: Compressed air drives a transmission screw, causing the valve core to move vertically. This simultaneously pulls the diaphragm up and down to open or close the valve. Features: Compact, simple structure with small footprint and aesthetically pleasing design; guided switching action ensures smooth operation; low closing torque with extended service life ≥300,000 cycles; automatic diaphragm compression adjustment for uniform pressure distribution and reliable sealing; push-fit diaphragm installation in valve core for easy replacement.
