Fluorinated ball valves operate with the same 90-degree rotational motion, but differ in that the plug body is spherical with a circular bore or passageway through its axis. Primarily used in pipelines for shutoff, distribution, and altering the flow direction of media, fluorinated ball valves achieve tight closure with only a 90-degree rotation and minimal torque. Fluorinated ball valves are most suitable for on/off and shutoff applications. However, recent developments have designed them for throttling and flow control purposes, such as V-type ball valves.

Key features include compact construction, reliable sealing, simple structure, and easy maintenance. The sealing surfaces remain closed when the ball is shut, minimizing erosion by the medium. They are easy to operate and maintain, suitable for general working media like water, solvents, acids, and natural gas, as well as harsh conditions involving oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene. These valves find extensive application across various industries. The valve body can be either monoblock or assembled.
